CREATIVE MENTORING

1:1 Online support for the mental & emotional challenges of being a highly creative human.

For artists, writers, performers & creative humans of all kinds navigating;

Creative blocks, perfectionism, self-doubt, comparison, overwhelm, imposter syndrome, procrastination, fear of sharing their work, or simply feeling disconnected from their creative practice.

And any other challenges.

Art is an ongoing response to being alive.

Creativity asks us to be in relationship with ourselves and with life.

And being in relationship requires an ability to respond.

But sometimes we get stuck.

We get caught in perfectionism.

Become afraid of what other people will think.

Feel smashed by rejection.

Compare ourselves.

Lose trust in our instincts.

Get overwhelmed by our feelings, or disconnected from them altogether.

We stop making things, or we keep making things but no longer feel connected to what we're making.

So bring the thing you're stuck on.

A half-written manuscript. A body of work you're terrified to show anyone. A creative project you've abandoned but can’t get off your mind. A painting, song or script you can't finish. A rejection that's crushed you and made you want to quit. An idea you can't seem to begin. The feeling that everything you make is shit. The doubt of whether you're even a “real” artist at all.

It’s all welcome here.

What does Creative Mentoring look like?

What does Creative Mentoring look like?

We start with the thing that’s getting in the way, but we don’t necessarily assume that’s where the problem is.

Perfectionism, procrastination, comparison, fear of sharing your work, creative block and self-doubt are often the visible part of a deeper pattern.

Together, we get curious about what’s happening underneath, using conversation, somatic inquiry and therapeutic tools to understand the thoughts, emotions, beliefs and nervous system responses that might be keeping the pattern in place.

From there, we work with what we find.

That might mean developing your capacity to stay present with difficult emotions, learning ways to support yourself when fear or overwhelm shows up, challenging an old belief, rebuilding trust in your creative instincts, or finding a practical way through whatever is keeping you stuck.

The aim is to solve the problem you bring into the room AND to help you understand yourself better and develop tools you can keep using long after the session ends.

"Do you have the courage to bring forth this work? The treasures that are hidden inside you are hoping you will say yes."

Elizabeth Gilbert

WHEN YOUR ART MATTERS TO YOU, BEING STUCK MATTERS TOO.

When creativity is part of how you make sense of yourself and the world, losing connection with it can feel like losing connection with a part of yourself.

Perfectionism, comparison, fear of judgement, rejection and self-doubt can slowly turn something that once brought meaning and aliveness into a source of pressure and frustration.

I’m not promising that you’ll never feel blocked, afraid or uncertain again. I’ll teach you how to meet those experiences without losing your relationship with yourself or your creativity in the process.

Bring the thing you're stuck on.

You don't need to know exactly what's wrong, why you're stuck or what you need.

We can explore it all together.
