INSPIRATION
Found on facebook marketplace, I gave this mannequin a new lease on life - strapping it to the back of my scooter (in true Bali style) and took them home to paint over the Christmas break.
During my time living in Bali my identity really came undone and I left the jungle 4 years later having flourished within myself. I’m incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity of the Balinese families who hosted and cared for me in this time of transition. This piece is an exploration of the relationship between my two homes at the time, those being the jungle of Bali and my body.
